What led you to a job at Zipline Interactive?
I was in need of a new challenge and a career change, so I decided that a place like Zipline Interactive where I could combine nearly 20 years of customer service, multiple years of small business marketing, and a spattering of technical know-how, would be right up my alley.
Do you believe Al Gore invented the Internet?
Al Gore invented the Internet!?! I always thought it was Miles Dyson!
What is your favorite part of working in digital advertising?
Seeing the new and creative ideas that our team comes up with every day to help our clients achieve their goals. The artistic nature of this industry doesn’t stop at the designs that our creative team comes up with, there is definitely an art in the way our developers create the code that solves the unique challenges of each client, as well.
Outside of digital advertising, what is your dream job?
Taking over for Anthony Bourdain. Traveling the world, eating amazing food, and waxing poetic about life, relationships, and philosophy with people from diverse cultures and getting paid to do it… yeah, I’d be okay with that!
What is your favorite thing about working at Zipline?
I am a part of a great team of talented and dedicated individuals who work well together and have great camaraderie; that’s not something you can find everywhere. Also, the free coffee and donuts/bagels every morning aren’t bad.
What do you do when you’re not at work?
I’d probably be defined as your stereotypical nerd. I’m a film geek, a gamer, a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy, and I probably would have spent my entire life in school if they didn’t make me do all that homework. I also work with several performance arts troupes in Spokane, I travel when I can afford to, am a bit of a beer and whiskey aficionado, and a huge soccer fan (EBFG!).
What is the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
I’ll tell you when we get to know each other better...
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’m going to go with two truths and a lie here, so it’s your guess: I’ve dined at Les Halles. I’ve lived on four continents. I’ve met the Dalai Lama.
What is your favorite TV show or movie?
I have to pick just ONE!? This list could get dangerously long if I’m left to my own devices...
Who is your idol?
Whatever creature would result from the combined genetics of Anthony Bourdain, The Dalai Lama, and Carl Sagan.
