Global Credit Union takes a unique approach

How Zipline helped apply Global’s distinctive branding to the web.

Since 1954 Global Credit Union has offered customers innovative products and services, low rates, limited feeds, and excellent customer service.  Originally founded as Fairchild Federal by Mary Milla, a secretary working at Fairchild Air Force Base, Global Credit Union has grown to become one of the region’s most recognized credit unions with locations in both the U.S. and Europe.

In 2013, Global Credit Union introduced the Global Citizen strategy which reflects long standing traditions of community involvement, military history and entrepreneurial spirit by engaging members and like-minded individuals through support of the arts, music, small businesses and military service. Global’s new brand is a better reflection of who Global is and always has been: people who care–members, employees, and volunteers. People who are doing what they’re passionate about; not because it makes them rich, but because it enriches their lives.

Global Credit Union Website
The wildly popular Global branding has become a staple in the many markets Global serves. The unique, fun style helps to set Global apart from other credit unions while also providing a platform for talented artists to share their creations with the world.  In early 2017, Global decided it was time to revisit its online experience.  Realizing the website was constrained by its limited mobile experience and lack of opportunity to showcase its branding, Global hired Zipline to help reimagine the entire website experience.

Our team worked closely with the Global Credit Union marketing team to plan, design, and construct a new website experience built around the Global brand. The new Global Credit Union website not only features an entirely new look and feel, but it truly has the Global brand at its core. Key elements like community events that are central to the Global brand are now baked into the DNA of the website, making them quick and easy to find and interact with.

In addition to a brand integrated experience, the new website also provides a more robust platform for online marketing by offering a series of customized landing pages and an industry leading analytics system to help Global better understand its target audience.
